Kohima, January 5 (MExN): The annual sports meet of Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) was held from December 27, 2025, to January 2, 2026, at Koinonia Prayer Centre, Tsiesema Basa, High School Ground, and Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
The inaugural programme took place on December 27 at High School Ground and was attended by Medotsielieu Kiewhuo, Pastor, Koinonia Baptist Church. This was followed by a marathon race.
On the final day (January 2), Rev Dr Zotuo Kiewhuo, Founder and Senior Pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church and Principal, Kohima Bible College, attended the closing ceremony held at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
He exhorted the participants from 1 Corinthians 9:24, encouraging believers to run the Christian race with focused discipline.
He said that while many run in a race, only one wins the prize, urging them to strive to win the imperishable crown and not a temporary one, while emphasising the need for self-control and perseverance in faith.
He also gave away prizes to the winners of various sports and categories.
