Dimapur: To commemorate International Women’s Day on March 8, Town Baptist Church Youth Department is organizing an event called, ‘The Annual Pink Conference.’
Town Baptist Church, Dimapur Youth Director Nividi Kevichusa in a press release stated that this one day event is open to all ladies ages between15 to 50. They welcome teens, high school to college goers, working women, singles and married, housewives, career women etc from all walks of life, denominations, tribe and race to come and be a part of this one day event.
This will be a conference like no other, with worship led by an all ladies team, worship leader by Imtirenla from Sinai Ministry, with presentation by Alongla Aier (OTS) Bambi KL and Acibu Sakhrie, and special songs. There will be only a 30 minutes presentation/talks on various topics and discussions and a very special brunch will be laid out for the ladies, which will be prepared and served by the young gentlemen of the Church. “As this is a pilot project, they are apprehensive but excited and request all to uphold this event in their prayers. If it turns out well, they hope to network with the local churches (Youth Department) and Christian organizations in and around Dimapur Town in the coming years,” the youth director said.
Nividi said, “The purpose of this event is basically to encourage all the ladies; and celebrate our place and position from the Biblically, in our society and in the family and celebrate the fact that God has created us in the image and likeness of Him.” There is no feminist agenda behind this event or fighting for our rights whatsoever, rather this event seeks to honour, cherish and celebrate together with all the beautiful and amazing women of this Town.
Registration fee is only Rs 100, and it comes with Juice, Tea and Brunch. To make it more fun, they have requested all to wear something ‘Pink’ on that day. So all the ladies of Dimapur please take a day off from your daily schedule, and come and be a part of this celebration, March 8, Saturday, 10:00 am onwards.
