APO appeals SAPO to lift restrictions
The Angami Public Organization (APO) has appealed to the Southern Angami Public Organization (SAPO) to reconsider its decision to prohibit Mao citizens from entering or travelling through SAPO Jurisdiction.
“While acknowledging that SAPO has resolved to such measures due to the Kezoltsa/Dzükou dispute; it is also worth mentioning that the Board of Arbitrators entrusted by Tenyimi Public Organization (TPO) to adjudicate on the mentioned dispute has pronounced their verdict on December 19, 2022,” a press release from the APO President, Razouvotuo Chatsu stated.
“As such, considering the interests of all involved parties and concerted efforts being made to amicably resolve the dispute and in order to pave way for all to celebrate the holy festive season peacefully,” the APO fervently appealed to the SAPO to lift the restriction on the Mao Community “as a mark of good faith for the shared Ancestral and fraternal bond, and in the true spirit of Christianity.”
