Another music store added in Kohima

Kohima, February 6 (MExN): A new music store called Blackrose Euphony Music Store was today inaugurated at VK Complex, Jail Colony in Kohima by Gugs Chishi, Project Director of Music Task Force. The music store is the second in the country to house Harrodser Pianos after Delhi.   The proprietors of the store, Vesato Theluo and Azha Usou, are both accomplished musicians. While Vesato holds a Master’s degree in music from Baguio, Philippines and is also a businessman, Azha Usou did his Radio Production and Music Business from Point Blank Music School, London, UK.

Addressing the inaugural event, Gugs Chishi extended his appreciation to both the proprietors and Harrodser for enabling music lovers get quality instruments at the store. Stating that they have brought wonderful products, he appreciated the Usou family, who has kept alive the spirit of their father, Rev. Dr. Neiliezhu Usou. He acknowledged that the store is one place where people will get to see the best musical instruments brought together by people who love music.   He further emphasized that the Music Task Force has been trying to promote the concept of music not just as a hobby considering the huge talent pool that can be seen. However, he said there has been a dearth of musical instruments and expressed happiness that the store will also be bringing in an economic range of pianos as well. While congratulating the proprietors for taking the bold initiative, he hoped that their musical journey will be a blessing even while the State witnesses good quality of musical instruments entering the homes and educational institutions.   Aswath Prabhu, Piano Technician and Technical Advisor to Pianoforte also shared few thoughts. A frequent visitor to Nagaland, he observed that music is part of life here than anywhere else and felt that as far as piano is concerned, it will be appreciated here. He gave a brief highlight on Harrodser.   Meanwhile, Mayank Gill, Proprietor of Pianoforte played a few piano pieces. Carry D’Mello, co-partner of Pianoforte was also present at the event. A special number was further presented by Ameü Usou and the Band.
