Winners of the All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association Central 2nd state level literary competition held in NBCC Platinum Hall, Kohima on October 20.
Kohima, October 26 (MExN): The All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) Central 2nd state level literary competition was held in NBCC Platinum Hall, Kohima with Abeinuo Jasmine Ashao, NCS, EAC as the special guest on October 20.
Students from nine district units participated in quiz and extempore speech competitions. 17 teams, two teams from each district unit, participated in the quiz while 25 students from 25 different schools across nine districts contested in the extempore speech, stated a press release received here.
In the quiz category, Lokhemi Achumi and Chothanu Kharutso of Little Flower HSS, Kohima emerged winners followed by Manchem Chang and Shahida Sultana of St Marys HSS, Dimapur and Ansh Singh and Santosh Nayak of Agape HSS, Chümoukedima in the 2nd and 3rd position respectively. They received Rs 10,000, Rs 8,000 and Rs 6,000 respectively with certificates.
The extempore speech was won by Lithang Tungoe of Perennial School Wokha, followed by Kilini P Zhimo of Cornerstone HSS, Zunheboto and Kekhriesinuo Sekhose of Mezhür HSS, Kohima. The contestants won Rs 5000, Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 respectively along with certificates.
All participating unit also received Rs 10,000 each.
Earlier, in the inaugural programme led by Kaikhü Achumi, member of the Literary Committee, the invocation prayer was pronounced by Imlongchaba, Advisor, ANPSA Central. N Adarhü, State Teachers Awardee, 2022 exhorted the students.
In the grand finale, led by Abalie Medoze, Joint Secretary, ANPSA Central, Nini Sekhose, President, ANPSA Central delivered the Presidential Greetings. Mezhür Hr Sec School, Kohima presented a double quartet which was followed by exhortation by the special guest. The vote of thanks proposed by PJ Nathan, General Secretary ANPSA Central.
