Wokha, May 2 (MExN): The Wokha Unit of All Nagaland Private Schools Association (ANPSA) organised a felicitation programme in honour of HSLC Examination 2024 toppers at Youth Centre Hall of Don Bosco Hr Secondary School on May 2.

Wokha district had four toppers in the recently announced HSLC Results 2024, including Nchumbemo R Lotha - Rank 7 (Isaiah Ability Hr Sec School), Ruth Y Lotha - Rank 14 (Libemo Memorial School), Meriyani C Humtsoe - Rank 17 (Libemo Memorial School) and Zaren Taslim Khandakar - Rank 17 (Libemo Memorial School). 

The felicitation programme was attended by present Class 10 students of all the 18 member schools of the association along with teacher guide and parents of the toppers, stated a press release. 

In his key note address, K Edward Ngullie, President, ANPSA Wokha Unit encouraged the achievers to seek higher goals and pursue them with gird and determination. “Today’s achievement is the first step for greater things to come in life and one should prepare oneself at all times and take every challenge head on with a positive attitude,” he added.

The programme was chaired by Phyochobeni Khuvung, Headmistress, Santsüo School. Fr. Joseph Cherian, Principal, DBHSS invoked God’s presence and blessing with a bible reading and prayer. Rinton Lohe, General Secretary, ANPSA Wokha Unit delivered the welcome address. Eranbeni Z Humtsoe of Perennial School enthralled the gathering with a special song. 

Speech on behalf of the topper was delivered by Nchumbemo R Lotha (Rank 7). In his short speech Nchumbemo acknowledged his success to the almighty God, his parents, school administrator and all his teachers for his success. He shared his short testimony and his journey and encouraged everyone to have faith in God and believe. 

Mhalo Ovung, Administrator, Isaiah Ability Hr Sec School delivered the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with a prayer by Rev Dr Mhonyamo Ngullie, Headmaster Cistus School.
