Dimapur, April 18 (MExN): The All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) today directed all its members “to refrain from paying tax being collected by different groups of National workers.” In a statement by its president, vice-president, joint secretary and treasurer, the ANTSA informed that this decision was “unanimously decided” in its general meeting on April 16. It further stated that “this clear directive has been intimated to all the teaching community for strict compliance because the issue on exemption of educational institutions from taxation is under negotiation being spearheaded by NSF, ENSF & ANSTA collectively along with various factional groups.” The ANTSA informed that the question of paying tax does not arise and none of the Association members should pay tax till such time the issue is amicably resolved between the negotiating parties.
