Kohima, October 10 (MExN): The All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) General Conference will be held on November 1 and 2 at John GHSS Viswema under the theme “Professional Renewal towards Academic Excellence”. Tongpang Ozüküm, Minister NPWD will be Special Guest, KT Sükhalu, Advisor School Education will be the Guest Speaker and Menukhol John, Principal Secretary to the Govt. of Nagaland Department of School Education & SCERT will be the resource person, a press release from ANSTA informed.
The first day will have two sessions on “What ails the academic performance of Govt. Schools in Nagaland? How to improve it?” and “Challenges of Govt. Schools Teachers in Nagaland. Suggestion for remedial measure”? The two sessions will be followed by open discussion and adoption of resolution. There will be an evening worship service and Fr Vimedo Joseph Kezo, Associate Professor St. John College Jakhama will be speaking on on “ Work is Worship”.
Razouseyi Vese, Additional Director School Education will be the Guest Speaker on the second day. To inculcate importance of Nature and to develop habit of caring & loving towards Nature among the teaching community, “A Nature Walk to Picturesque & Scenic Dzükou Valley shall be organized on the second day for all nature lover delegates. The The Central ANSTA and ANSTA Kohima Unit- the hosts of the Conference therefore invites atleast 30-50 delegates from all districts and sub divisions to attend the Conference.
