ANSTA, NSSFOF Dimapur units appeal to government

Dimapur, June 3 (MExN): The Dimapur units of All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) and Nagaland Secondary School Field Officers’ Federation (NSSFOF) today appealed to the government to take immediate action to solve the ongoing crisis on bifurcation demand at the earliest for the welfare of the students.

In a press release, the two organizations pointed out that the Department of School Education is one of the biggest departments comprising more than 21,000 employees at the school level, besides categories of officers and other subordinate staff.

“Due to its vastness, the problems are consistently uncountable; however, the government is not serious to address its grievances,” stated the release. “As such, all sections of its employees very often form unions, associations and so on including contractual appointees under flagship programs without any headway.”

The ANSTA, it said, has been submitting representations whenever any situation arises. This time too, after thorough examination, total bifurcation of elementary and secondary education from higher secondary was placed before the Government and State policy makers by the employees under the banner of ANSTA and NSSFOF, the release added.

“This total bifurcation is the only solution for quality education for the children in the composite schools from class 1-X,” asserted the release issued by Chubatemjen, General Secretary, ANSTA Dimapur, Vihepu T Sema, President, ANSTA Dimapur, Y Mughaho Zhimo, Secretary, NSSFOF Dimapur, and Mhathung Humtsoe, NSSFOF Dimapur.
