ANSTA serves ultimatum to Edu Dept on teachers regularization

Dimapur, September 29 (MExN): The All Nagaland School Teachers' Association (ANSTA) has submitted several representations including one ultimatum to the department of education. Urging the department to conduct suitability test for adhoc teachers in due time so as to avoid the problem of back log which is the root cause of almost all troubles being encountered by the department.

A press note received here issued by its president Kepelhoutuo Chüsi and  joint secretary Kekuolhouthie  stated that the ultimatum was served to the department on regularization of Adhoc teachers and implementation of "R.O.P’ 99" by July 31, 2008, "vide letter No. ANSTA/GEN-01/01/2008, Dt. the 26 May 2008". The representation submitted were: Regularization of 3 years and above serving teachers and implementation of R.O.P ’99, vide letter NO. ANSTA/P-1/2008-09, Dt. Kohima the 31st August 2009, conduct of suitability test first for in-service teachers and thereafter the recruitment examination for 480 created posts. Vide letter NO. ANSTA/GEN-2/2007-09, Dt. Kohima the 18th Dec. 2009 and regularization of Adhoc teachers 3 years and above, vide letter NO. ANSTA/Gen-01/2010, Dt. 14th May 2010.

The note further, stated: “Owing to persistent demand of the association for timely conduct of interview, suitability test is now going on in full swing as the department has started on 27-9-2010 in a well planned manner and for which the association is happy with the esteemed authority as it is a fulfillment of one of its genuine demand. The association hopes that the ongoing suitability test will be conducted in free and fair manner with thorough verification of documents of the candidates and also expects litigation free regularization order that may be issued in time unlike the previous one so that the case of next batch/group of Adhoc teachers (who are to face the suitability test) would be conducted at an early date. Meanwhile ANSTA wishes all the eligible Adhoc teachers the best of luck and congratulate the department once again.”
