
DIMAPUR, JANUARY 25 (MExN): The All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) has appealed to the Nagaland State Government to take a wise decision on the issue of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill (CAB) 2016 keeping view the aspiration, the right, the will and the desire of future Naga indigenous people.
In a press note, the Association pointed out that the future of the Naga rests upon the collective wisdom of the present leaders/ legislators and has therefore urged them to take up the issue with all seriousness by exhibiting true statesmanship so that upcoming Naga indigenous generation may not suffer or be deprived at the hands of illegal immigrants in any manner.
Meanwhile, the Association has extended its support to the organizations, federations opposing the Bill in the larger interest of the Nagas, in particular the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) which has been spearheading the protest against the Bill since its inception.
