DIMAPUR, MARCH 9 (MExN): For earnest want of a change, the All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) has urged upon the Nagaland Chief Minister and his Council of Ministers to assign an able leader with the Education portfolio. A press release issued by ANSTA president Ponchulo Wanth and general secretary Visato Koso, said the appeal is being made while keeping in mind that the Department of School Education is “infested with problems of varied nature." “While distributing portfolios, the concept of assigning right person to the right job/department be considered and a person who can understand the problems of teachers and students from the grass root level along with good problem solving skill should be allotted with the Education portfolio,” it urged. ANSTA said only an able leader can bring in qualitative change in the department which is in need of total transformation and revamping.
