ANTA cautions on fund misuse

DIMAPUR, AUG 5 (MExN): The All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) has alleged that some self styled persons claiming to be taxi owners/drivers have misused the ANTA Dimapur office without the consent of its office bearers and executive members.

Therefore, they have been asked to clarify to the ANTA office before the issue goes out of the Dimapur unit ANTA office’s hand, warned Tohozhe Awomi, General Secretary ANTA in a press note.

It was also cautioned that anybody misusing the name and office of the ANTA Dimapur unit in any manner would be dealt accordingly as per rules and norms of the ANTA.

Meanwhile responding to Thejangulie, ANTA Finance Secretary who was suspended on January 20, 2006 for misusing ANTA fund and expelled for five years in an emergency executive meeting held on January 28 for not refunding the amount, the ANTA stated that the self-styled Finance Secretary was misleading the ANTA members and the general public, since there is no written proof submitted to the auditors nor to the treasurer of ANTA, Dimapur unit.

“I have no vested interest when it comes to ANTA Dimapur unit’s issue, any decision or resolution passed are by the Dimapur unit in general for the better of the association and public in general”, Tohozhe stated, while giving a rejoinder to Thejangulie’s statement.
