The All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) HQ Kohima has conducted 1st Open Carrom Tournament at ISBT, Regional Taxi Parking Kohima on June 23 and 24.

In doubles category, Daniel Achumi and Apulo Awomi from Dimapur emerged the champion title and received a cash prize of Rs 30, 000. Vikheho Katy and Inaho Zhimo from Niuland stood runner-up and received Rs 20,000. Two semi finalists in doubles category Besuto & Victor and Boaz & Abeto received Rs 7000 each. The prize money for double category was jointly sponsored by Mezhiivolie Solo (1st Prize), Akhrieno Suohu (2nd Prize) and Ropfii Meyase for semi finalists prizes.

Mhasekhoyi Kezo from Kohima won champion title in singles category and received Rs 25,000 while runner-up Besuto Nienu from Kohima awarded with Rs 15,000. Two singles semi finalist Vikheshe and Justin received Rs 5000 each. The prizes money for singles category was sponsored by MLA Dr Tseilhoutuo (Ato) Rhutso, 9th Kohima Town AC.

Ketholhoutuo Belho, executive member Kohima Village Youth Organization gave away prizes to the winners at the valedictory function. The valedictory function was led by Victor Rutsa, secretary to the treasurer ANTA HQ Kohima.

Altogether, 72 participants from Kohima, Niuland, Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Phek joined the tournament.
Meanwhile, the Association thanked all the prize sponsors, participants and well wishers for the success of the tournament.
