The All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA), Wokha Unit held a joint meeting on April 29 with representatives of the Hindu Union Wokha and Muslim Union Wokha to deliberate on key issues related to passenger transport services and the Inner Line Permit (ILP). The meeting followed an official invitation issued on April 27.
According to a press release, the meeting was held to deliberate on the smooth functioning of transport services in and around Wokha. The agenda included discussions on the hiring of private vehicles for passenger transport and the implementation of ILP, in line with directives received from ANTA Headquarters.
During the meeting, both unions agreed to work in close coordination to ensure hassle-free and efficient transportation for the public, the release said.
The ANTA Wokha Unit also highlighted a directive issued by its headquarters on January 28, 2026 regarding ILP enforcement.
Emphasising the need for collective responsibility, the association appealed for full cooperation and vigilance from all stakeholders to ensure strict compliance with prevailing state regulations.
Better coordination among the organisations would contribute to smoother operations and benefit both passengers and service providers, it added.
