ANTA Zbto reiterates allegation, gives evidence

Dimapur, July 4 (MExN): The All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Zunheboto Unit has reiterated that its press statement regarding the FGN cadres causing unnecessary harassment to the passengers on June 29 last at Shothazu village and even provided evidence of the FGN cadres’ involvement in the incident.

The ANTA Zunheboto Unit President, Anantoh Zhimomi, in press release, substantiated evidence to their allegations.

“Evidence No1; A particular activist/cadre who was among the group is a well-known tax collector for the FGN action of Chozuba Region. Several passengers, and drivers who regularly ply on that route identified them,” stated the release and added that the ANTA Zunheboto Unit, that same evening, “got in touch with the Chairman of Zulhami Village Council who confirmed that it was indeed the FGN Region activists who accosted the Taxis”.

As ‘evidence’ number three, the release directly questioned, “Can the FGN deny that Zopra and Singnya belong to the Non-Accordist group of NNC/FGN?”

In the light of this the release stated that the ANTA Zunheboto would like to know if the FGN faction denies and disclaim these evidences and know their stand in this issue in the face of these irrefutable proofs of their misdeeds.

The release stated that the ANTA Zunheboto Unit is a recognized and well-organized branch association of All Nagaland Taxi Association and that the decision to condemn these persisting problems was unanimous with very creditable evidence and no person is singularly responsible for these condemnations of a particular faction.

The release stated that the ANTA Zunheboto action comes as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of the passengers.
The release further clarified that the ANTA Zunheboto Unit has no animosity towards the citizens of Chozuba Sub Division and that there is no ulterior motive regarding the change of travel route.

The ANTA Zunheboto Unit has earlier directed all the taxis under its affiliation plying to Kohima and Dimapur only to use to the Wokha road instead of Chozuba route, allegedly because on June 29, the FGN cadres accosting five taxis took charge of it and stranding the passengers, transported themselves to Zulhami village. The FGN on July 2, refuted saying that the cadres who accosted that taxis are not FGN cadres but by the ‘notorious’ Zopra and Singnya group.
