Phek, April 25 (MExN): National Tobacco Control Program (NTCP) Phek has conducted a sensitization programme on anti-tobacco at 5th BN Police church Phek with Dr. Reyosalu Lase Vizo District Nodal Officer (NTCP) as the resource person. During the awareness programme, the resource person appreciated the churches in Phek district for coming forward to support the Anti-Tobacco campaign because church plays a very important role to address any social issue.
Tobacco is a very serious problem our society is facing today. She said that our complacent attitude to the warnings have led to lose of many precious lives to diseases like oral cancer, stroke, heart attack, lung diseases etc. Unless we heed to the warnings our indifferent attitude is going to destroy many more.
