KOHIMA, DECEMBER 10 (MExN): The Ao Morung was adjudged the ‘Best Morung 2025’ at the 26th edition of the Hornbill Festival during the awards ceremony held at the Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, on December 10.
The Pochury Morung and the Kuki Morung were declared the first and second runners-up respectively. The winners received cash awards of Rs 50,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively, along with certificates. All participating cultural troupes were also presented with cash prizes and certificates.
The awards were presented by Sivasubramanian Ramann, Chairperson of the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority, who graced the occasion as the chief guest. He was accompanied by Nagaland Chief Secretary Sentiyanger Imchen, IAS.
