Ao Senden calls for resignation of 60 MLAs

Political parties should work on common goal solution without delay

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 10 (MExN): The Ao Senden has appreciated the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) for their commendable initiative to vacate their seat to give way to the Indo-Naga Political settlement and their clarion call made to the Indian leaders that ‘Nagas want Solution, not Election’.

While stating this, the Ao Senden has however pointed out that it is also time for the NLA to prove to the Naga People and the world that they stand by what they say. “This will be proven only when they act on appropriate time”, stated a press note issued by Ao Senden President Dr. Sangyu Yaden and General Secretary Tsupong Longchar.

The Ao Senden stated that it was disheartened to know that the NLA has failed to come together to act on what they have promised to the people. The Ao Senden urged upon the different Political Parties of the State to leave behind all their interest and converge in the agenda of a Common Goal ‘Solution” without delay.

The Ao Senden also called upon all the citizen, organization and tribe Hohos to call upon their elected representative and urge upon them to demonstrate their commitment to the Naga people and to immediately vacate their seat when ‘now is the appropriate time’.

The Ao Senden also apprised upon the Government of India that Nagas do not want Christmas gift, nor election or any kind of concession but an honest commitment to end the Indo-Naga Political issue. While calling upon all the Hohos and good citizen to work for the amicable solution, the Ao Senden reminded one and all that it is not a time for joy ride but to work together so that this opportune time is not wasted.
