
Cautions against ‘any future harm’ to Ao citizens by national workers
Mokokchung, August 20 (MExN): The Ao Senden has “bitterly” condemned what it called the “heinous and animalistic rape” of a 3-year-oild minor by Moakaba Aier at Saringyim village on August 2.
The allege accused is reportedly a sergeant-major of the NSCN/GPRN (K) Khango.
“A nation worker instead of working for the uplift of the nation and the people has committed this reprehensible and devastating crime that injured an innocent child,” stated a press release by the apex body of the Ao community.
Meanwhile, the Ao Senden stated that while there is growing anger public anger these actions by national workers, it is crucial to maintain peace, order, and ensure people's safety.
However, it cautioned that in the coming future if any harm is inflicted on any Ao citizen by any nation worker, the “criminal and the faction to which he belongs will be evicted from Ao territory.” The release issued by Ao Senden President Marsanen Imsong and General Secretary Imtipokyim also stated that its “Resolutions of 29th August 2003, are revisited and reaffirmed to deal with any exigency that might arise.”
