Ao Senden gives 30-day ultimatum over healthcare issues at IMDH

Mokokchung, September 17 (MExN): Apex civil organisation Ao Senden has issued a 30-day ultimatum to the Principal Director of the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Nagaland, Kohima, seeking immediate intervention in what it described as critical healthcare grievances concerning Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) in Mokokchung.

In an official communication issued on September 16, and routed through the Chief Medical Officer of Mokokchung, the organisation expressed its concern over the issues and urged the government to take prompt action.

Ao Senden has outlined three major demands requiring immediate intervention.

It sought the immediate replacement and posting of a radiologist and a dermatologist at IMDH.

The organisation also demanded that the hospital be shifted immediately into the newly constructed Block A of IMDH to ensure utilisation of the new infrastructure.

It further called for the cancellation of all attachments of doctors and nurses and their reversion to IMDH.

Ao Senden cautioned that failure to take necessary action within the stipulated 30-day period would compel the organisation to adopt its own course of action.
