Ao Senden issues rejoinder

Mokokchung, May 29 (MExN): In response to the news item ‘Sensible citizen, need of the hour: Western Chakhesang Hoho’ published on May 28 issue in local dailies, the Ao Senden has issued a rejoinder stating that “there is no record of Mokokchung chasing away any of the returnees rather, we have received 19 Chennai returnees from Kohima on May 26, without completing the test result.”

The Ao Senden, President Chubawati Longchar and Secretary Imtipokyim pointed out that Mokokchung has the same status with the rest of the other districts with regard to money sanctioned and other aspects in the fight against COVID-19.

It also asserted that the writer could not differentiate between what is Kohima, Dimapur, Mokokchung or Phek. “At the time when the people in state cries about Kohima and Dimapur only taking the major share and leaving other districts with nothing, it is not wise on the part of the writer to mention Mokokchung as equal to Kohima and Dimapur.”

Therefore, the Senden stated that the President WCH should have ascertained the facts and figures before going to the press.
