Ao Senden office building inaugurated

Ao community urged to do away with “differences and petty politics”  

Mokokchung, July 4 (MExN): Minister of Forest, Environment & Climate Change, Imkong L Imchen asked the Ao community to do away with differences and petty politics saying that such attitude hampers the growth of our society. The minister was speaking during the inauguration of the newly constructed office building of the Ao Senden at Sangtemla ward, Mokokchung on July 4.  

The Minister mentioned his appreciation to all the formers and present Ao Senden officials for the effort and contribution made in bringing into reality, the aspiration of the Aos to have a permanent Ao Senden office building.  

Maintaining that everything is possible through unity, Imkong said it is through the contributions of different groups, organizations and every citizens of the Ao community that made possible to construct such a building which was indeed a pride for the Ao community. He further asked the people to make the Ao Senden office a place where truth prevails.  

He also thanked the land owners (Kichu clan, Mokokchung village) for generously donating the land for construction of the office building without any condition.  

Short speeches were delivered by Addl. Chief Secretary, Nagaland, Temjen Toy IAS, ADC Mokokchung Sachin Jaiswal IAS, Ex- president Ao Senden, Imolemba Jamir, Kichu Kidong Mokokchung village and Chairman ,Sangtemla ward.  

The programme was attended by Parliamentary Secretary Tourism, C. Apok Jamir, Parliamentary Secretary IPR, Imtikumzuk, representatives from all six ranges of Mokokchung district, Village Councils, Watsu Mundang, AKM, MTLT and prominent leaders. Dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Pastor MTBA, Rev Ponen Longchar while vote of thanks was proposed by General Secretary, Ao Senden, S. Temsu Aier.
