Dimapur, June 22 (MExN): The Ao Senden, apex civil body of the Ao community, today strongly affirmed its stand that it has its own firm commitment abiding with its resolution with regards to the delimitation of assemblies constituencies in the state. A press release issued by Ao Senden vice president R Nochet clearly stated “the PIL appealed in the Guwahati High Court not in support of the JAC (the conglomeration of four districts. But the Ao Senden has its own determination and causes against the exercise of full implementation of Delimitation of constituencies. (sic)” The release, in this regard, stated that the Ao Senden appealed to the court of law for ‘recensus’ of the 2001 census which the release termed as ‘bogus’. The release further stated that until such rectification is done, the Ao Senden pleaded to maintain status quo in the state of Nagaland.
