Bendang Jamir, Co-Convener of JCC, Ao Senden clarified to all that the Aos under the banner of Ao Senden resolved to observe mourning period starting from February 1 in respect of the two youths who were shot by police on the night of January 31 in Dimapur.

“The entire episode unfolded when the tribal bodies raised their voices against the decision of the state government to conduct ULB polls in the state unilaterally nullifying the agreement signed between the JCC and the state government and NBCC,” it added.
