Mon, April 2 (MExN): Parliamentary Secretary Youth Resource and Sports Khekaho Assumi graced the celebration of Aoleang festival held at Mopong EAC headquarter today which was held under the theme “Social and cultural awakening”. Assumi in his address stated that besides the celebration in the Aoleang festival, culture and tradition and a prayer of good harvest for the year, there is a need to retrospect and see how far ‘We’ have come in terms of development, education etc.
He also encouraged the youth to seek jobs in private sector instead of keeping an option only for government jobs which was already saturated.
Assumi insisted that the youth should go for vocational trainings and become entrepreneurs and should also help the government for good governance. He also encouraged the youth to be a pressure group, to ensure that schools functions well, hospitals are maintained and developmental works are properly implemented.
