Pune, April 4 (MExN): The Konyak and Phom students in Pune celebrated Aoleang Monyu on April 3 with a dinner event. The students from both the tribes gave informative presentations about the festival prior to the feast, according to a press release received here. “Aoleang Monyu is the festival when we pray to the Almighty and share love and honour with the elder family members and friends,” the release said. The celebration was graced by the NCF Pune Pastor, Achu Chang, who conveyed his best wishes and initiated the celebration. He informed the gathering about the similarities between the Jewish Passover festival and the Aoleang Monyu festival.
