Dimapur, June 9 (MExN): The District Task Force held a meeting on Mission Indradhanush (MI) 3rd Round on June 6 at DC’s conference hall.
The meeting was held to review the performance of the previous two rounds of Mission Indradhanush and sensitize the members on the action plan to be carried out during the third round of the Mission.
Kesonyu Yhome, IAS, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman DTFI directed the Administrative Officers (AOs) to be actively involved and mobilize the beneficiaries through the local authorities in their respective jurisdictions. He also reminded the Social Welfare Department to continue involving the AWWs actively during the MI.
Dr. Lanuakum, DPO, UIP-RCH presented a comparative study of the first two rounds of immunization coverage during Mission Indradhanush in Dimapur district. He informed the members on the improvement achieved during the 2nd Round of MI. He lauded the Social Welfare Department for the active involvement of AWWs to mobilize the beneficiaries and thanked the Administration for activating the wards and colony councils of identified MI areas to take measures and support the Health Department to improve the immunization status in their respective jurisdictions.
Dr. Lanuakum also highlighted the measures taken by the Health Department to improve the coverage during MI.
The meeting was attended by the stakeholders of the various departments - Administration, Social Welfare, Education, Medical and also all the Administrative Head of all the Blocks under Dimapur district.
