The “Aotemulung Kilem,” a six-story multipurpose building constructed by the Mopungchuket Senso Telongjem Mokokchung (MSTM) in collaboration with Aotemulungtsur Telongjem Mokokchung Town, was officially inaugurated on Friday, September 6. The inauguration ceremony was led by Rev. Jongpong Jamir, Pastor of Mopungchuket Baptist Church, at the building’s location in Alongmen Ward, Mokokchung.
The president of MSTM, Aotemsu, welcomed the gathering, and Rev. Temsuwati Kichu, Associate Pastor of MTBA, offered the dedicatory prayer. Watisutsung, Secretary of the Building Construction Committee, provided a brief report on the project, revealing that the building’s construction cost amounted to Rs 2.13 crore.
The building consists of five floors designated for commercial use, with the top floor featuring a conference hall equipped with modern amenities, available for hire.
Several dignitaries addressed the gathering, including the Chairman of Alongmen Ward, who expressed gratitude to the union for enhancing the ward’s appearance with the new structure. The Chairman of the Mopungchuket Village Council also praised the visionary efforts of both unions in completing the project.
The president of Aotemulungtsur Telongjem Mokokchung Town extended heartfelt thanks to MSTM for their unwavering support in realizing this vision. Construction on the project commenced in March 2022, and was completed in July 2024.
