DIMAPUR, JUNE 11 (MExN): Following videos on social media about quality of rice being provided at New DC Office Complex, Chümoukedima, APC & Dimapur incharge for COVID-19 activities, Y Kikheto Sema, IAS directed the Food Committee to visit the quarantine centre on June 10 and verify the issue.
A press release from the APC informed that accordingly, the committee interacted with the inmates and it was found that the quality of rice needed improvement. The Committee has already conveyed the same to the caterer and it was agreed by the caterer to improve the rice quality, it was added.
While appreciating all views and opinions, the Dimapur team for COVID-19 activities asked all to bring any lapses to the notice of the appropriate authorities first for immediate corrective measures.
“It may be mentioned that Team Dimapur has been working tirelessly 24x7 to take care of thousands of returnees and provide them meals in more than 50 quarantine centres across the length and breadth of Dimapur. Nearly 4000 persons including frontline workers are being fed on daily basis,” the press release informed.
While fighting the bigger problem of Corona, let not the smaller issues overshadow or belittle the bigger tasks, it appealed. Kikheto assured that Team Dimapur is trying and will continue to try its best to deliver best services to the people and sought cooperation from everyone.
