Kohima, July 13 (MExN): A core committee meeting under the Chairmanship of Agriculture Production Commissioner, Y Kikheto Sema, to take stock of drought-like situation in the State will be held at the Secretariat conference hall on July 15 at 11:00 am. It will deliberate on interventions taken so far by the departments in the affected areas, creation of water bodies, check dams, rejuvenation of pond and streams etc., formulation of plans for early seeds distribution and alternate livestock rearing and field visit by the Core Committee/official to the affected farm area. The Agri, Horti and AH & Vety services, Fisheries & Aquatic Resources and Land Resource Department will deliver presentations of affected farm areas and departments interventions. All core committee members are requested to attend the meeting without fail.
