APC inspects ongoing projects under NEC in Zunheboto

Zunheboto, September 14 (MExN): Agriculture Production Commissioner (APC), Nagaland Y Kikheto Sumi, IAS and his team arrived at Zunheboto town on September 14 as part of his tour across Nagaland to inspect and monitor the ongoing projects under NEC in the state of Nagaland. 

The team began their tour with a meeting at the DC’s Conference Hall, Zunheboto town with the DC and various officials from the Agri and allied departments, informed a DIPR report.

Kikheto while addressing the meeting stated that although Nagaland has no scope for industry, agriculture has huge potential in the state as we are blessed with very fertile lands. He went on to note that North East in general and Nagaland area too has the youngest soil in the World, where almost everything grows. 

He called upon all not to do different things but to do things differently and stressed on coordination between various departments and districts as well, to help change people’s mindsets with an objective to help grow awareness about Jhum cultivation and its adverse effects. To create some impact it is important that everyone comes together with an aim for each district to become self sufficient, he continued. 

His team comprised of Er Hotovi Ayemi, Chief Engineer, Water Resources, Er Hozheto, SE, PWD (R&B), Neingutole Zhasa, Assistant Development Commissioner, Benri Mozhui, Executive Officer, NSAMB representative from IPR, Nagaland.
