Submits memorandum to Chief Engineer MoRTH 

 

Tuensang, August 13 (MExN): The Action Plan Committee (APC) Tuensang District called on Ministry of DONER. The Committee held a meeting with SC Mandal, Chief Engineer, Ministry of Roads Transportation & Highways (MoRTH), Government of India at his office in New Delhi on August 8.


Right from the statehood of Nagaland till today, the people of Tuensang district are facing untold miseries due to the pathetic conditions of the road which lies completely neglected. Despite of several appeals made to the state government, no positive measures has taken so far in the NH-202/155 stretch from Mokokchung to Tuensang, APC Tuensang, District General Secretary, Singkhum Sangtam and Press Secretary, Tia Sangtam highlighted in a press release.  


A delegation of the APC Tuensang led by its President, N. Kaimang Chang submitted a memorandum to Chief Engineer, MoRTH during the meeting. 


“The Chief Engineer positively assured the APC to consider the matter on top most priority and to expedite the works as early as possible,” the press release stated. 


The APC Tuensang has acknowledged Tuensang Chamber of Commerce & Industries (TCCI), ENPO officials, Truck Owners Union, Tuensang and Private Taxi Union, Tuensang unit for extending support  to make the meeting possible.
