Kiphire, March 16 (MExN): The United Sangtam Students' Conference (USSC), the apex body of the Sangtam Students' Community, today re-notified and reiterated its earlier directives on taxation and transfer with posts.
Regarding the issue of taxation, the USSC re-notified a 2021 directive stating that it will not “allow and entertain any undue taxation by any individuals, agents, and factions against all the developmental activities under the education department, medical, road and bridges construction, and Aspirational funds for development activities under Sangtam jurisdiction.”
The Conference also directed all contractors and departments to provide work orders and detailed project reports (DPRs) to the USSC office.
“The quality of workmanship shall not be compromised by any contractors within its jurisdiction,” stated the notification appended by USSC President Samuel B Sangtam and General Secretary Lumpili Sangtam.
Henceforth, if this notification is violated, the conference will initiate its own course of action, it added.
Meanwhile, the USSC also reiterated its earlier directive to all heads of departments (HODs) that “transfer with post/attachment without reliever in the department is totally banned within the Sangtam Jurisdiction.”
If any irregularities are traced, the Conference will not compromise in any manner, it added.
According to the USSC, it enforced the directives after witnessing a very pathetic quality of work done by contractors and transfer with post and attachment by the department.
The Conference appealed to all concerned to comply with the directives.
