Seen here is the recently established Apfü Saliki (Mother's Market) in Tahamzam (Senapati). Apfü is mother in Poumai and Mao while Saliki is market in Maram—Tahamzam being inhabited predominantly by these Naga communities, the Mother’s Market was named by the Government of Manipur drawing from these languages. Inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Manipur, N Biren Singh, in October this year, the marketing shed that will accommodate local women vendors is yet to become operational.
