Mokokchung, June 17 (MExN): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Chuchuyimlang block has started an Apiary Farm School in Mongsenyimti village.
It was inaugurated by T. Mayang, AO & BTT Convener, on June 14 with Akumnungsang appointed as the farm school teacher.
Chubaienla Jamir, ATM highlighted on the functions of ATMA and concept of farm school, informed a press release.
Training and demonstration on various topics were conducted during the programme. The farm teacher trained the farmers on apiary management and elaborated on the benefits and economic aspects of bee keeping. He also gave a demonstration on extraction of honey and colony maintenance. The farm school was named Akumtemjen Apiary Farm School.
