Apong wins Tuluni Angling Competition

Dimapur, July 2 (MExN): The Tuluni Open Angling Competition held on July 1 at Musu Angling Club, Hoito village was won by Apong of Kohima. He walked with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.   Jongpong, who finished second received Rs. 30,000 while Sujit pocketed Rs. 10,000 by finishing third. He also received a gift hamper for getting the first catch of the day. Third runner up winner Wati and fourth runner up winner Bapani Haldar of Kolkata received Rs. 5000 each.   In other categories with a cash prize of Rs. 5000 each, Hinato got the biggest Catla; Taliakum got the biggest Rohu; Hopson got the biggest Catfish; and Alem Aier got the biggest Grass Carp.   All the winners were presented with a citation certificate each.   A record number of 217 anglers from Nagaland, Assam, Manipur and West Bengal took part in the tournament, a press release informed.
