Through this column I, the undersigned appeal to the department of Higher Education, Nagaland to re-consider my transfer order which was served to me even before I could attend my first day of office after being appointed to the job. As per government advertisement dated 9th Sept. 2010, I sat for written test and interview conducted by Personal and Administrative Reforms Department for a post of LDA-cum-Computer Assistant under Dimapur district on 2nd Oct. 2010.
My hard work paid off and according to the notification declared on 5th March 2011 I was selected for the said job in the department of Higher Education under Dimapur district. But to my utter surprise when I received my appointment order on 17th March 2010 I found myself appointed and transferred to Zisaji Presidency College, Kiphire whereas I was supposed to be appointed as LDA-cum-Computer Assistant at Dimapur Government College. As far as my knowledge is concerned there was no vacant post in the department of Higher Education under Kiphire district but a post suddenly became vacant following the transfer of someone and I was made the scapegoat to fill the vacant post. I have been transferred even before I could put my first signature in the office attendance register. I was selected to fill a vacant post under Dimapur district. Therefore, I seek for justice from the concerned department or the government of Nagaland.

Let maturity and wisdom prevail
•-This refers to the news item ‘Agitation against Mao community lifted’ (MEX dated 15th April, 2011). The restriction on social mobility for the Mao people, launched by the so called Southern Angami Youth Organisation (SAYO) had gone beyond the pale of any civilized conduct and decency. It shows total lack of maturity and wisdom in tackling any outstanding issues. In fact, such unlawful activities can only bring communalism and conflict between communities. If the term of engagement among communities is solely based on belligerent posturing, it will only heighten the conflict situation. There is something called civilized engagement based on reason, mutual respect and understanding wherein any differences could be solved amicably. It is advisable for anyone not to resort to such kind of unreasonable activities in future lest it generate dangerous consequences. Let reason, maturity, wisdom and good sense prevail between the two communities for solving any outstanding issues between them.

Fundamental rights of Tirap & Changlang districts
•-We appreciate the concerned of AAPSU and its allies for the people of Tirap & Changlang Districts. They are initiating an all party consultative meeting on NPF launching its Arunachal unit. But we should also learn to respect and regards the fundamental rights that every INDIAN enjoys. And I wonder why AAPSU and others are organising the consultative meeting at Itanagar, why not in Tirap & Changlang so that the top leaders participating in the meeting may know the ground realities.
As one of the highest intellectual institution and apex students body AAPSU should examine the WHAT & WHY of the situation in Tirap & Changlang. We don't expect the most respected and mighty AAPSU to be carried away by political wave rather the people of the state hope to see AAPSU stand for the PEOPLE's issue like 2000 illegal appointments, PDS scam, Hydro Power Project scam, etc. The NGOs, Political parties and the pressure groups of the state should refrain from airing any kind of misunderstanding & chaos among the people.
