Appeal reiterated to CM on 3rd BN N.A.P deployment

Dimapur, August 7 (MExN): The tribal unions and students’ bodies of 3rd N.A.P Sector, Tuensang, has once again appealed to the state Chief Minister to fulfill the demands placed before him earlier. The Unions’ stated that the proposed deployment of nine companies of N.A.P. personnels in Delhi, drawing from 2nd, 3rd and 4th N.A.P battalions by the end of this month was  learnt through local media.
The press note was appended by Somba Chang, president, Chang Students Union, NAP Sector, Berimon Chang, president, Chang Union, NAP Sector, Tsalito Sangtam, president, Sangtam Students Union, NAP sector, Thepongse Sangtam, president, Sangtam Union, P. Chuba Yim, advosr, Yimchunger stundtes union, NAP sector, Lakhum Yim, Yimchunger Union Nap Sector, Khumo Khiam, president Khiamnugan Union  , NAP Sector.
The tribal unions and students’ bodies of 3rd N.A.P Sector, Tuensang, had appealed firstly that the shifting of N.A.P jawans from 3rd BN N.A.P should not consist of more than three companies. Secondly, that the transfer should be made on deputation basis only, and not permanent.
“The CM is also reminded of his verbal assurance given to our tribal apex bodies on July 16, 2011 to consider the above demands, when they raised the same concerns in his office. Therefore, it is our appeal to state government to kindly look into our demands sympathetically without much delay,” stated the note. It was also aid that if the state government, in case fails to heed to our repeated appeals, we will be compelled to resort to other means of public movements to fulfill our just demands and the state government shall be solely held responsible for any unwanted incident.
