Tseminyu, May 13 (MExN): The Kandinu Youth Organisation (KYO) has appealed to the Power Department to restore power supply in Kandinu area covering 10 villages under Tseminyu and Pughoboto subdivisions without further delay.
In a press release, the Organization stated that despite repeated appeals made by the Kandinu Village Councils, the SDO (Power) Wokha has shown no concern or response regarding the issue.
The public of villages, it stated, has suffered immense hardship due to the power cut since March 24 and subsequent lackadaisical attitude of the department.
The Organisation has cautioned the authority concerned to look into the matter within five days with effect from the date of publication of this press release. Failing to do so, KYO stated it will be compelled to start its own course of action and that the power department will be held responsible for any untoward incident.
The ten villages affected by the power cut are Kandinu, Sishunu, K. Station, Ehunnu, Yikhanu, Ghokimi, Ashuqha, Tsaphimi, Kitami, and Punipaqha, said the release issued by Hiwanchu Wanth, KYO General Secretary and Zapi Kath, Chairman, KYO Action Committee.
