Kohima, September 13 (MExN): The Apraava Energy Scholarship 2026 was launched by Dr Pritpal Kaur, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police (CID), for the education of underprivileged students at Yhoshü Resource Centre (YRC), Kigwema, on September 12.
The scholarship programme is an initiative of the Eleutheros Christian Society (ECS) in collaboration with the YRC Project, Kigwema, and supported by KMTL/Apraava Energy. It aims to provide financial assistance and educational opportunities to deserving young people from the region.
Gracing the occasion as the guest of honour, Dr Kaur emphasised that every student, regardless of their background, deserves an equal opportunity to dream big and achieve success in life.
She said initiatives such as the scholarship serve as a vital stepping stone to ensure that no talented youth is left behind due to financial constraints.
Kaur urged the students to follow the right path by upholding the values of honesty and hard work and by living meaningful lives dedicated to the service of society.
Yhoshü Resource Centre has a boys' hostel, a futsal ground, a livelihood activities area and other facilities. A girls' hostel is currently under construction.
