Dimapur: Department of Power APTMs Cell under SE(E) Dimapur circle will be intensifying the APTMs activities by imposing additional penalties and lodging FIR against the defaulter in addition to the normal penalties. A grace period of 10 days is given to all electricity consumers who are illegally using power supply to rectify their illegal activities from the date of publication of this press release.
All electricity consumers in Dimapur and Chumukedima area are informed that APTMs raids activities was launched on July 11, 2013. The raid is continuing till date to discourage illegal use of electricity by means of hooking, meter bypass, meter tempering and breaking meter seal etc. Till date 363 cases has been detected and penalized but these activities has activities have not deterred the consumers from illegal practices, resulting heavy revenue losses to the power department every year.
