Dimapur, March 9 (DIPR): Training on "Modern techniques in Aquaculture" got underway at Training Centre, Brooders Fish Farm in Half Nagarjan, Dimapur on March 8. The training is organised by ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Kolkata Centre in collaboration with department of Fisheries, Government of Nagaland. Resource persons for the training include Principal Scientist, S. Dasgupta, and Scientist Sujata Sahoo, from ICAR-CIFE Kolkata Centre. On the first day of the training, technical employees of the department of Fisheries and progressive farmers of Dimapur District were trained on Fish Production with Polyculture and Integrated Fish Farming. Practical demonstrations of water testing by using portable testing kits developed by the centre were also given during the programme. Field visit and staff interaction will be the highlights of the second day.
