Dimapur, January 6 (MExN): True to its spirit of being ‘Friends of the North East People’, the Assam Rifles once again come to the aid and assistance of the destitute and needy.
The 29 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 6 Sector Assam Rifles of HQ IGAR (North) has adopted and provided assistance to the Ebenezer Orphanage Home, Dimapur. Brig Bency P Jacob, Cdr 6 Sector Assam Rifles presented the necessities to the orphanage at a ceremony organized at Ebenezer Orphanage Home on January 5, informed a press note issued by the AR.
The orphanage was provided with computers, TV sets, books, school uniforms, stationery, bicycles and other household items. By extending a helping hand, 29 Assam Rifles has given a new lease of life and opportunity to all the orphans to lead a better and improved lifestyle.
The noble gesture was appreciated and imbibed a spirit of confidence and trust. The Ebenezer Orphanage Home, Dimapur expressed gratitude to the 29 Assam Rifles & HQ 6 Sector Assam Rifles for looking after the children in the orphanage and providing the much needed assistance.
