DIMAPUR, January 23 (MExN): 32 Assam Rifles apprehended two NSCN (R) cadres along with extortion slips, arms and ammunition from New Market area on January 18, a delayed press release from the AR stated today. The two cadres were identified as Capt Mughaito Chopi and Capt Kimiyeto Sumi. One 9 mm pistol, one .32 country made pistol, 14 live rounds of 9 mm and 42 live rounds of .32 were recovered from the duo. The cadres were also in possession of 44 extortion slips which were used to place demands for extortion money and approx Rs 60,000 in cash, the AR release stated. The apprehended cadres were handed over to Dimapur West Police Station along with the recovered arms and ammunition.
