AR apprehends three with arms

DIMAPUR, MAY 7 (MExN): Personnel of the Assam Rifles, on two separate incidents, apprehended three persons in possession of arms and ammunition. A press note from the PRO informed that on May 4, troops of the 37 Assam Rifles conducted a search operation in Chumukedima town and apprehended two miscreants. They were held with one 9 mm pistol and ammunition.  The individuals were identified as Ethomo Magh (23) and Sikiya Rengma (57). The apprehended were then handed over to Diphupar Police Station. In a separate incident, a search operation was launched by troops of the 29 Assam Rifles at Fellowship colony on May 5.  During the search of one house, 20 live rounds of 7.62mm caliber, 60 live rounds of .22 caliber and one hand grenade were recovered.  The owner of the house, Yangthase Sangtam (43) was apprehended and handed over to Dimapur West Police Station.
