DIMAPUR, AUGUST 12 (MExN): Assam Rifles along with Pongchau Police apprehended two ‘over ground workers’ of NSCN K-YA from Bonia village of Longding District in Arunachal Pradesh on August 10.
Based on a specific input regarding presence of two over ground workers of NSCN K-YA in Bonia village, who were facilitating the extortion network of the said group in the village, a joint operation along with Pongchau Police was launched.
The joint team discreetly approached the suspected house and during the cordon and search, the individuals were apprehended, a press release from the Assam Rifles stated. The two apprehended have been handed over to police, it added.
