Kiphire, August 22 (MExN): Kiphire battalion of Assam Rifles observed International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism in Kiphire, Longmatra, Akhegwo, Pungro and Anatongre on August 21. Lectures were organised at Loyola Higher Secondary School and Saramati Mountain School in Kiphire, Akhegwo community hall, and Government High School Anatongre on the “scourge of terrorism,” stated a press release from HQ IGAR (N). Apart from offering prayers, silence was observed to pay tribute to the departed souls and all those who suffered and continue to suffer due to terrorism, it added.
