
Dimapur, June 29 (MExN): On the occasion of World Anti Drug Abuse and illicit trade, 35 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised a lecture on drug abuse & its ill effects at Naginimora under Mon district on June 28.
Capt Tejesh BS, RMO in his lecture highlighted the physical, mental, occupational and financial hazards by use of drugs, an AR press note informed. Approximately 50 AR personnel and 30 civilians of Naginimora village attended the lecture, it added.
32 AR lecture on HIV & AIDS
The 32 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) conducted a lecture on HIV & AIDS at Purana Bazar, Dimapur on June 27. The aim of the lecture was to spread awareness about cause of spread and preventive measures and discuss stigmas attached to HIV & AIDS, a press release from HQ IGAR (North) said. A total of 26 villagers attended the lecture.
36 AR interacts with GBs
The 36 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters IGAR (N) conducted an interaction with GBs at Tening COB on June 29. It was attended by a total of 10 GBs of Tening and neighbouring villages..
The aim of the interaction was to share information about various government schemes with the villagers, an AR press note informed.
Issues including development projects, creation of Jan Dhan accounts, Aadhar cards and conduct of awareness programme on HIV/ AIDS and Drug Abuse were highlighted duirng the meeting, it said.
On culmination of event all GBs assured their full co-operation and support to Assam Rifles in all endeavours in the future, it added.
