Kohima, February 11 (MExN): The Assam Rifles organised a medical camp and "A Day with Company Commander" for school students on February 9 and 10, respectively.
A press release from the PRO, HQ IGAR (North), informed that the medical camp took place in Gaili Namdi village in Peren district on Friday, with the aim of implementing the Prime Minister’s initiative of Ayushman Bharat in far-flung villages.
The camp addressed various health concerns prevalent in the village, including anaemia, sprains, blunt injuries, and viral fever as well as facilitated early diagnosis and management of hypertension among some villagers, it informed.

Approximately 150 villagers, including women, senior citizens, and children, attended the medical camp.
Meanwhile, a total of 56 students and 10 teachers from Hope Academy participated in the "A Day with Company Commander" hosted by Ghaspani Battalion under Chümoukedima district on February 10.
Under the theme "Life Through Soldiers' Eyes," the high school students spent a full day immersed in the intricacies of a soldier's daily routine under the guidance of the Company Commander, stated the release.
Some of the activities included wreath-laying to honor the Bravehearts, the display of administrative stores and equipment, a dog show, and a Pipe Band display.
Motivational videos highlighting the Assam Rifles and the Indian Army were also screened for the students, followed by a presentation showcasing the contribution of security forces towards the well-being and upliftment of society, it added.
The event concluded with lunch and the distribution of souvenirs to the students.
